TechRadar reported on 30 October 2025 that Target started its Black Friday deals on 1 November with a Deal of the Day, added new deals every Sunday through Christmas Eve and ran a three-day early Black Friday sale from 6 to 8 November. In other words, Target’s Black Friday begins weeks before the Friday itself.
This guide to Target Black Friday uses that 2025 schedule, Slickdeals’ preview of Target Circle Deal Days on 6 and 7 October 2026, and NBC Select’s 2025 shopping tips. I have not seen Target’s official 2026 Black Friday ad, so the 2025 pattern is a guide, not a promise. Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, 27 November.
When Target’s Black Friday Deals Start
TechRadar’s 2025 report shows a long, rolling schedule instead of one day. Slickdeals’ 2026 preview adds an October event, Target Circle Deal Days on 6 and 7 October, which it calls a taste of Black Friday.
| Date (2025) | What happened (TechRadar) |
|---|---|
| 1 November | Deal of the Day returned |
| 2 November to Christmas Eve | New deals every Sunday |
| 6 to 8 November | Three-day early Black Friday sale |
Target’s 2026 schedule may differ, so check Target.com and the Target app from late October.

Slickdeals is a deals community, and its list reflects Target’s announcements.
Target Circle: What You Need to Know
Slickdeals explains that free Target Circle membership is required to access sale pricing, and Circle 360 is a paid tier at 99 dollars a year, or 49 dollars a year for Circle Card holders, teachers, college students, military members and qualifying government-assistance recipients. Circle 360 offers free fast shipping, same-day delivery and early access to some sales.
| Tier | Cost | Key benefits (Slickdeals) |
|---|---|---|
| Target Circle | Free | Access to sale pricing |
| Target Circle 360 | 99 dollars a year, or 49 dollars for eligible groups | Free fast shipping, same-day delivery, early access to select sales |
Only pay for Circle 360 if you shop at Target often enough to recoup the fee.
Which Target Deals Are Worth Waiting For
Target’s discounts of 40 to 50 percent on toys, small appliances and floorcare look strong, but compare them against the item’s normal price. NBC Select advises tracking price history and checking return and price-match policies, though I could not confirm Target’s policy from these sources. Use price trackers such as CamelCamelCamel or Keepa to check the history now.
| Buy early if | Wait if |
|---|---|
| It is a gift you must ship | The item is an apparel basic that may drop in December |
| Stock is likely to sell out (popular toys) | You have a flexible deadline |
| The deal is at or near a historic low | The discount is only 10 to 15 percent |
